Vocabulary ( Cinco de Mayo in Miami )

Vocabulary 

Cinco de Mayo- is an annual celebration held on May 5th. The date is observed to commemorate the Mexicans unlikely victory again the French on May, 5 1862

Residents- a person who lives somewhere permanently or on a long term basis

Sombrero- a broad brimmed felt or straw hat, typically worn in Mexico and the southwestern U.S.

Mariachi bands - type of musicians who play a particular style of music that originated in Mexico and is famous around the world

Twerking- dance to popular music in a sexually provocative manner involving thrusting hip movements and a low squatting position

Reggaeton- a form of music of Puerto Rican origins characterized by a fusion of Latin rhythms, dancehall, and hip hop or rap
